Meditation Series
Our Meditation Series is the result of significant research into crafting the Saraz on Stainless Steel. The material is a very different animal that has pushed us to develop new building techniques while exploring a novel rabbit hole of singing steel. A few characteristic qualities of the material include:
- significantly longer dreamy sustain (typically about 9-10 seconds)
- warm hypnotic timbre due to dampening of high frequencies
- inherent rust resistance
- beautiful rainbow colors that range from brilliant gold to royal purple and blue
Although our first stainless prototype was a success, Mark spent many more months exploring the material across our 3 sizes of Saraz with top and bottom notes to confirm that our entire offered Scale list could be built on this material. After constructing numerous instruments, we are confident not only in the sound of the instrument, but also that the tuning stability is as impeccable as our other Saraz.
In our opinion, this line of instruments is especially for those that love handpans for their hypnotic, relaxing, dreamy, and meditative qualities whether playing alone or when performing for others during sound baths, meditations, and sound therapy work.
Pricing for our Meditation Series Saraz is the same as our classic Professional instruments:

Enthusiast Series
This series of Saraz has been developed for the enthusiast handpan player with an entry level budget. These Saraz still feature the same refined architecture and design as our other instruments with a focus on a balanced timbre, exceptional tuning stability, rust resistance, and both note sensitivity and note strength. Unlike our Professional and Meditation Series Instruments, we do not tune the shoulder tones on the edges of the center note on our Enthusiast Series Instruments as it often requires significantly more time, energy and skill to achieve. Because we have only one size of these shells, we can only craft the Enthusiast Series in a portion of our scale list. Available options are noted on our offered scales list in each scale description. Basically, we can build all of our 20″ diameter models and any 21″ model excluding those with low Bb3 and high B4. Moving from lowest to highest center note on our list, this includes variations of C minor, C Harmonic Minor, C# Major, C# Mixolydian, C# Minor, C# harmonic Minor, all D center note scales, all F center note scales, F# Minor, F# Dorian, F# Harmonic Minor, C Harmonic Minor, G Akebono, C Minor with G center note, and A Minor.
